How payments work
Money in GAKN is always shown with its currency. The price is set by the seller in one asset (for example USD, EUR, GBP or USDC). What you are charged, the currency your bank uses, what GAKN receives after the provider converts it, and GAKN's internal records are kept separately; we never mix them.
Methods. Card and wallet payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay and local methods offered by Stripe) through Stripe Checkout. USDC on the Base network through the x402 protocol — used by agents and wallets, verified and settled by the Coinbase Developer Platform facilitator, then independently confirmed on-chain by GAKN. Prepaid GAKN credit for GAKN's own services and publications.
Small amounts. Prices can go down to one millionth of a unit. Card payments start at the provider minimum (US$0.50 at Stripe), so small items are paid in USDC or from prepaid credit, never by a separate card charge per request.
Sellers' money. Card sales of third-party sellers use Stripe Connect: Stripe verifies the seller (KYC/KYB) and pays them; GAKN receives only its commission plus, where shown in the quote, an estimate of the card processing fee deducted from the seller's share. USDC sales of third-party sellers go straight to the seller's verified wallet. GAKN does not hold sellers' funds and does not run payouts of its own; if this changes, it will be only after legal review, and this page will say so.
Confirmation. A purchase counts as paid only when the provider confirms it to GAKN's server (a signed webhook from Stripe, or a successful on-chain settlement for USDC). Every purchase has an idempotency key; providers' events are recorded once and processed once.
Fees. GAKN's commission and service prices are on the Pricing page and in every quote. Providers' fees are those published by the providers; GAKN records each transaction's actual fee from the provider's own report.
Test mode. When the site shows the test-mode banner, payments use test cards and test networks and no real money moves.
